How repUP Reviews works

A guest scans a QR code, shares how their visit went and is shown an easy way to leave a Google review. You read the feedback in one place and decide what to do with it.

Setting it up

  1. Add your restaurant’s name and branding.
  2. Add the link to your Google review page, so guests are sent to the right place.
  3. Get your personalised link and dynamic QR code.
  4. Place the QR code where guests will see it after their meal: table cards, the counter, the bill folder or a receipt.

Setup is done by you. Most of it is entering details and checking the guest screen on your own phone.

What the guest sees

  1. They scan the QR code with their phone camera. There is no app to download and no login.
  2. They rate their visit and choose what stood out: food, service, atmosphere or value.
  3. They can add a comment in their own words.
  4. They are invited to share their visit on Google, with a direct link to your review page.

Whether to write a review, and what it says, is always the guest’s decision.

Day to day

  • Read new feedback in your owner dashboard.
  • Look for patterns, such as repeated comments about wait times or a dish that guests love.
  • Share useful feedback with your team.
  • Reply to Google reviews on Google itself, through your Business Profile.

The how-to guide How to collect and act on guest feedback has a simple weekly routine.

Limitations to know about

  • repUP cannot write, post, remove or guarantee Google reviews. They belong to your guests and to Google.
  • Google decides which reviews appear and may remove some that break its policies.
  • Google’s policies don’t allow offering rewards for reviews or asking only happy guests to review you, so don’t build your process that way.
  • Guests need a phone with a camera and an internet connection.
